Rogue SharePoint deployments cause security menace

There is a certain irony in Microsoft providing tools to 'sniff out' rogue SharePoint deployments (as seen here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/cc295797.aspx ) particularly as it was a very conscious business model to create this situation in the first place ( as I observed here recently http://2020visions.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/fighting-the-past/ )
